Tim Staney’s DJ journey began in 1997 as the resident DJ at The Metro—Worcester’s premier nightclub—where he headlined high-energy Thursday and Friday events. His signature sound and crowd-driven sets helped propel the club’s legendary 18+ College Night to record success, eventually inspiring the launch of a dedicated Tuesday LGBT night that quickly became one of New England’s hottest weekly events under his direction.
Over the next decade, Staney became a fixture in the New England club circuit, spinning at iconic venues including Club Elite, The Randolph Country Club, The Underground, Sanctuary, Maine Street, Clubland, and The Loft. In 1998, he joined Provincetown’s famed Purgatory as a resident DJ, performing alongside industry legend Wendy Hunt. He also appeared as a guest DJ at The Boatslip Beach Club’s world-renowned Tea Dance.
After a hiatus from the booth, Staney reignited his passion in 2020—embracing the next generation of electronic music and digital mixing technology. His return quickly drew attention, with live performances at major events including Tampa Pride, St. Petersburg Pride, and 5K on the Runway at Tampa International Airport.
In 2022, Staney launched ANTHEM, a weekly radio show on We Dance As One Internet Radio, featuring a high-octane blend of house, remixes, and reimagined dance anthems. The show airs every Tuesday from 3–5 p.m. EST at wda1.com.
In 2025, DJ Tim Staney also joined the Power Crew at Power 78.7 radio and also provides weekly content for shows like Pre-Game and Saturday Night Factoria.
Building on his growing national presence, Staney joined the One Magical Weekend lineup in 2024, delivering an electrifying set at Orlando Bear Pride Presents Bear Jamboree. His performance earned rave reviews and an invitation to return for 2025—solidifying his reputation as a DJ who brings unmatched energy, emotion, and connection to every dance floor he commands.
