Tim Staney launched his DJ career in 1997 as the resident DJ at The Metro, Worcester’s premier nightclub, where he headlined Thursday and Friday night events. His dynamic sets were instrumental in the success of the club’s 18+ Thursday College Night, which paved the way for a dedicated Tuesday LGBT night—quickly becoming one of the region’s most popular events under his musical direction.
Throughout the next decade, Staney became a fixture in the New England club scene, performing at notable venues including Club Elite, The Randolph Country Club, The Underground, Sanctuary, Maine Street, Clubland, and The Loft. In 1998, he joined Provincetown’s legendary Purgatory as a resident DJ, performing alongside industry icon Wendy Hunt. He also made guest appearances at the Boatslip Beachclub’s renowned Tea Dance with DJ Maryalice.
After a hiatus, Staney returned to the decks in 2020, re-emerging with a renewed passion for electronic music and modern digital mixing technology. Since his return, he has performed at high-profile events including Tampa Pride, St. Petersburg Pride, and the 5K on the Runway at Tampa International Airport.
In 2022, Staney joined the lineup at We Dance As One Internet Radio, where he launched his weekly show ANTHEM, a high-energy blend of house, remixes, and reimagined classics. The show airs every Tuesday from 3–5 p.m. EST at wda1.com, and celebrated its milestone 100th episode in May 2025.
In 2024, Staney became part of the One Magical Weekend family with a featured performance at Orlando Bear Pride Presents Bear Jamboree. His electrifying set earned an invitation to return for the 2025 edition of the event.
